To the Least of These

Refugees are just a part of many vulnerable communities in our midst who are some of “the least of these” that Jesus calls us to care for. How we care for “the least of these” will someday be affirmed by Jesus. It may surprise us, because we did not even recognize these acts of kindness as anything out of the ordinary, nor that it was in a way, Jesus himself! Whether here, or on the other side of the world, caring for “the least of these” is often the first step towards sharing “the reason for the hope that is within us” (1Peter 3:15). If we want to reach the world for Christ, we need to consider how to care for “the least of these” whom God has brought to our doorsteps.
